National Night Out is a nationwide initiative encouraging residents to turn their porch lights on and organize block parties, sending a message to criminals that our neighborhoods are fighting back. By strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and heightening crime and drug prevention awareness, National Night Out unites residents to “Give Neighborhood Crime and Drugs a Going Away Party.”
FMPD to celebrate National Night Out with Open House In conjunction with National Night Out on Oct. 2, the Flower Mound Police Department will hold an Open House from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Police Station, 4150 Kirkpatrick. During the Open House, community members can learn more about crime prevention, the Flower Mound Citizen Patrol program, meet McGruff the Crime Dog, tour the station, see police vehicles and equipment, and enjoy light refreshments. In addition, families can have their child safety inspected as part of the police department’s partnership with Project Safe Kids. To have your child safety seat inspected, please schedule an appointment during the Oct. 2 Open House hours by calling 972.874.3357.

The Double Oak Police Department and Community members will participate in “National Night Out” this year on October 2nd from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. N.N.O. is a great time to get out and visit with your neighbors and have the opportunity to meet the Officers who work for you in this great town.
This year’s activities will be held at Town Hall and will include several things to see and do. We will have fingerprint and identification kits to hand out, a bounce house, petting zoo and food. Please bring your family and have some fun!
