Penguin Days at Dallas Zoo means $5 Admission in January & February!
The temperature is dropping and so is the price of admission to the Dallas Zoo. Everyone age 3 and up, including adults and seniors, can visit the African penguins and all the other animals at the Dallas Zoo for just $5 per person during the months of January and February. The Penguin Days promotion is the Dallas Zoo’s way of thanking the public for their support throughout 2012.

“By the time we shut our gates on New Year’s Eve, we project to have had another year of record attendance, at around 880,000 people who visited the Dallas Zoo in 2012,” said Gregg Hudson, president and chief executive officer of Dallas Zoo Management Inc. “Penguin Days is our way of expressing our thanks to all the folks who have supported the Dallas Zoo in 2012.”
“Our guests have given very positive comments on all the changes that have taken place this year, including the Koala Walkabout, presented by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, which opened in March, and also the ever popular Giants of the Savanna exhibit,” said Sean Greene, vice president of guest experiences of Dallas Zoo Management Inc. “We are thrilled that so many members of our community came out to see our attractions and we want to take the opportunity to express our gratitude. There is more to come on the savanna in 2013 as we continue to introduce different species to each other.”
Penguin Days is a great time to enjoy the warmth of the Herpetarium, Bug U!, the Jake L. Hamon Gorilla Conservation Research Station, and the Simmons Safari Base Camp at Giants of the Savanna. Parking remains at $8 per vehicle. When the temperature goes up in March, so does admission. Children age 2 and younger and Dallas Zoological Society members are always free.
