Snow in North Texas? It’s not a regular occurrence, but it’s always a grand adventure for kids of all ages when they can play in the cold, white flurries. This year, North Texans won’t have to wait on Mother Nature thanks to a new attraction being added to the Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway beginning November 22 through January 5, 2014.

Now known as The Gift of Lights & Snow at Texas Motor Speedway, the attraction will feature a unique outdoor snow experience with a tubing hill, snow ball gallery, snow castles, and a play area. Created using New Jersey-based SnowMagic’s patented technology, more than 100 tons of snow will keep the magic going throughout the holiday season.

Gift of Lights is one of the most visited holiday parks in North Texas, drawing thousands of guests each winter.  Gift of Lights & Snow opens to the public November 22 and will run through January 5, 2014.

In its third year at Texas Motor Speedway, Gift of Lights is a drive-thru holiday spectacular light show.  Visitors can enjoy more than two million LED lights and 600 unique and exciting holiday displays across 1.7 miles at Texas Motor Speedway (3545 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth).

  1. is this per car load or per person?

    • I’m glad you asked, Miranda… We looked into it further and have updated our page above. The good news is the fee is per vehicle for Gift of Lights. Unfortunately, there’s an additional fee for the Snow feature. Details above.

  2. I’m looking to purchase tickets for the day time snow-is it correct that the online purchases are more expensive than on site purchases? That seems a little backwards?
    Just checking-thanks!

    • Yes… the online purchases are more expensive. Basically, you’re paying a service fee to Ticketmaster for the convenience of not standing in line when you arrive at the event:)

We have a a motorhome that we wanted to put some friends in and come look at the lights. Do you let motorhomes go through? Peggy Scoggins

    • Hi, Peggy -
You’d have to contact Gift of Lights directly (we just share info from their site). I’ve been through the display in a bus, so I know and RV would fit, I’m just not sure if they allow it. Good luck!
