This year they are also featuring several new LEGO Engineering and Robot, Mad Science, Culinary and Dance camps in addition to our regularly scheduled camps and classes.

Coppell

Camp Do-It-All is an award-winning day camp program that is offered by the Parks and Rec Department. It is designed for boys and girls ages 6-12 years old. Camp Do-It-All is offered June 10 – August 23,2013. 7:00 am to 6:30 pm to accommodate working parents. The Summer 2013 cost per camper is $130/week. Drop-ins are welcome at a fee of $45 per day.
KidzConnect is an award-winning program designed to give children a place to learn and play! KidzConnect is known as a “Child’s University,” meaning there are many classes that each child is able to choose from to set their own curriculum. Staff are highly trained individuals, mostly who work within local ISDs.
KidzConnect is offered to boys and girls ages 4-12 years. There are two different age groups within KidzConnect. The 4-6 year olds will have a specific set of classes they will attend every day, while the 7-12 year olds will have a list to choose from every hour (see pages 4-9).
Coppell Parks and Rec also offers a variety of mini and full day camps covering an assortment of activities through their Rec!Connect catalog. Some options include Cheerleading, Soccer, Science, Space, Legos, Filmmaking, Splash Camps, Fashion Design, Animation, and more!
Coppell Family YMCA offers a number of camps for ages 3-13.
A variety of experiences including day camps and sleep-away camps.

There are also several sport and specialty camps for kids ages 4-14. These generally run for a week, and vary between 2-3 hours a day. Prices vary. See links provided for details.
The Greater Lewisville YMCA offers a variety of camps for kids ages 4-15. These include a number of mini sports camps and full day camps with themes that vary by week.

Highland Village

Mornings for organized games and activities; Stick around in the afternoon for field trips you won’t find offered by any other camp out there! Options vary from traditional summer-fun and sports activities to hula hoop, movie making, martial arts, and Xtreme (emergency) Response Camp.
Where else can your child wade in the river with the herons, catch a tadpole, paddle a kayak, go on a nature treasure hunt, or do the chores in a real log house? We are offering three full weeks of outdoor experiences for children ages 7–12 years old. Full details are on our summer flyer (at the link above).
LISD Campus Support Services 701 S. Charles St., Lewisville, TX 75057 469-713-5997 Summer Day Camp Summer Mini CampsLISD Summer Day Camp is a summer care program designed especially for LISD school children. Our camp will give kids a fun-filled option for June, July and August that includes stimulating activities and quality supervision while parents are at work. Activities include arts and crafts, special classes, weekly trips to the pool, games, parties and trips to fun destinations like Sea Life and Gatti Town!
LISD Summer Day Camp is held from 7:00am to 6:30pm M-F from June 17 through August 2. Three camp locations include Parkway Elementary, serving Lewisville and Flower Mound; Wellington Elementary, serving Flower Mound, and Coyote Ridge Elementary, serving Carrollton and The Colony.
Ages: Students must be entering grades 1 through 6 as of August 2013.
Cost: $160/week (Cost includes hot lunch, field trips, snacks and drinks, guest speakers, and weekly classes including Mad Science.) Week 3 is prorated at $130.00.
LISD also offers exciting summer “mini camps” for 4 weeks at Vickery Elementary from July 9 to August 2. Some mini camp offerings for children ages 3 through 15 are: Adventures in Art, Basketball, Dodgeball, Golf, Charm and Modeling, Chess, Conversational Spanish, Kids Cook, Legos, Mad Science, Mandarin Chinese, North Dallas Kidstage, Photography, and Yogi Kids.

The Colony

Campers go on a different field each day! Field trips include the new Perot Museum of Nature and Science and Chuck E. Cheese. The cost is $150 for the week. Discounts are available for families with multiple children. Registration will be accepted by the day beginning March 6 if space allows. The cost is $30 per day.

Summer Kidz Kamp registration begins on Friday, March 1. Register early as Kamp fills fast! Kidz Kamp is for kids ages 6-11 years old. Kampers go on a different field trip each week and go to The Colony Aquatic Park twice a week. The cost per week ranges from $110-$125 a week. There is a one-time $20 supply fee. Discounts are available for families with multiple children.

Kids Camp – June 10-14Kids camp is a great time of leadership building for kids- leaders are born at kids camp. It is for kids going into the 4th and 5th grade. The camp pastor is KiethCoast and the music is being done by Ka*Pop. Camp is a fulll week of focusing on God in fun and unique ways. Big MAC (Music and Arts Camp)
Big MAC will be held August 12-15, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to noon for kids entering Kindergarten through 6th Grades. There will be a closing program on Thursday, August 15, at 7:00 p.m. to share what we have learned with our family and friends! Big MAC will include time for singing, doing art projects, playing games, and of course, recreation and refreshments! 3rd-6th Grade participants will be learning a musical. Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 11, at 4:00 in the Modern Worship Center for 3rd-6th Graders who would like a speaking part or solo. Registration forms are available in the church office during the summer. The cost is $20 per child. Registration ends August 4.

6th Grade Mission Camp June 24 – 28; Ages 6th Grade (Incoming)Trietsch offers a 6th Grade Mission Camp program that is designed for “new” youth kids entering 6th grade in the fall of 2013. Mission Campers participate in four community service projects off-campus (field trip style) Monday through Thursday and then attend a party celebration on Friday! 6th Grade Mission Camp runs concurrently with VBS. There is a session in the morning (9 a.m.-noon) and afternoon (1-4 p.m.) Register for Mission Camp at tmumc.org. Cost for the camp is $40 ($45 after June 10) and includes a special Mission Camp t-shirt. Cost should never be a reason to prevent someone from participating. Scholarships are available in the office, no questions asked. We are limited to 50 youth per session, so sign up early. Adult chaperones needed! Vertical Basketball Camp July 22-26, 8:30 a.m. – noon; Grades 6-8, $70Vertical Basketball Camp at Trietsch is for the middle school kids, and while it consists of a higher level of skills and drills, it is great for beginners because we teach the fundamentals from the ground up! While we touch on all skills needed to be successful in basketball, there is a heavy focus on dribbling, passing, and shooting and daily devotionals to help break up the drills and grow the kids spiritually. Summer Music Camp August 5-9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; Completed Grades 2-6, $75Kids who have completed grades 2-6 are invited to join us for the Trietsch Summer Music Camp. The kids will work on a musical all week long and then will perform in worship on Sunday, August 12. $75 covers camp t-shirt and party on Friday. Kids will learn music, choreography, drama and handbells. Register online or in the church office. Parent volunteers are needed to help during the week of camp. What about academic camps or enrichment?
Hi, Tifany -
There are lots of academic and enrichment camps offered in our area. You’ll find them at many of the area rec centers and organizations. Examples include LISD Campus Support Services mini camps (Science, language, chess) and Coppell Rec Center (Extreme Engineering, Geology, Geography, etc.). The only high school we know of that offers academic camps is Lewisville (you’ll find a link to their camp page above). And of course, there are lots of businesses that offer these sorts of camps. Are any of these Special Needs Camps (specifically for children with Autism)?
Sorry, DJ, we don’t research details for each of the camps, so we don’t always know which are for kids with special needs. You might check with LISD SEPTSA. They probably have more info. The contact I have there is Amy Turner (amy (at) texasturners (dot) net). Good luck!
