Kids: Pick up a reading log at either library
One log per child - Use plain paper if you lose your log
Turn in completed log between 6/18 - 8/16 and receive:
* a Summer Reading Program certificate
* a free book
* a free ticket to the Ringling Brothers circus, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST (Children under two do not need a ticket to the circus)

Josey Ranch Lake for all ages
Explore a variety of giant, hard-working city vehicles that have
exciting experiences all over the city every day. Maybe you'll drive
one someday!
June 7 Reading with Ringling
o 10:30 a.m. at Josey Ranch Lake
o 12:30 p.m. at Hebron & Josey
Celebrate Summer Reading with clowns Slappy and Monday, Ringling Brothers “Reading Ambassadors.” All ages.
June 16, 2:00pm at Hebron & Josey for ages 6 and up:
Welcome to the Outback with Kangaroo Kate
Travel to Australia to meet a tiny joey wallaby and learn all about
kangaroos. Kangaroo Kate will bring her bull roarer, a boomerang, and a
digeridgoo. Learn some Aussie slang and hear an Aborigine dreamtime
story. Bring your camera!

Josey Ranch Lake Ages 9-13: Camp Half-Blood
Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, training camp for Percy Jackson and his
fellow demigods. Discover your immortal parent, make a shield of
celestial bronze, sample ambrosia, and lead your cabin to victory!
Camp signup required! Go to www.cityofcarrollton.com/library or
visit library to get a signup form starting June 4 and return by July
1. The first 50 campers to return their form to either library location
get to attend Camp Half-Blood.

Learn about laws of motion and experience a rocket pack blast off! For ages 6+

Hebron & Josey
Bugs, bugs and more buys visit your library! Jungle Jim entertains
and educates with his amazing arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians. For
all ages.

Teens Read is paperless!
1. Read a book
2. Write a review
3. Submit it online
Every week there will be a prize drawing from the previous week's
entries. The more book reviews you turn in that week, the more chances
you'll have to win!
All reviewers will also be invited to the Star Struck Afternoon Party--an invitation only special event!

Hang out with friends, play video games, watch movies, and goof
around at the Josey Ranch Lake Library at this TEENS ONLY after-hours
program. This won't be the library you're used to seeing. Pick up your
permission slip at either library.

Inspired by The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, participants will
face each other in different challenges. You'll need your smarts,
strength, and a little bit of luck to make it through The Arena. Do you
have what it takes to survive? Pick up your permission slip at either
library. TEENS ONLY.

An Invitation Only Event: At this special invitation only event,
our summer readers are the celebrities. Submit at least one book review
this summer to receive an invitation for you and a friend. Mingle with
other star readers before and after our awards ceremony. Refreshments
will be provided.
