“Take on the Heat” Triathlon

Cost: $5 gate entry fee per vehicle for spectators; no entry fee for participants or for those with annual passes

Spectators are welcome to cheer on their hometown heroes at the annual sprint distance triathlon consisting of a 350 meter open water swim in a protected cove of Lewisville Lake, 12 mile bike ride and 5K run. Hundreds of athletes will participate in this annual race which benefits The Colony Firefighter’s Association.

In past years, proceeds from this race paid for medical bills of injured firefighters, assisted firefighters with terminally ill family members, and contributed to various fund raising events for several injured firefighters, both from The Colony Fire Department and around the country.
