What I did last summer: By A.R. Gurney

Charlie, a rebellious 14-year-old, is spending the summer vacationing with his mother and sister on the shores of Lake Erie before heading off to boarding school. His father is fighting in the Pacific during the final stages of World War II. Although he intended to spend the summer socializing, he is forced to take a job as handyman for a bohemian art teacher. She teaches him to paint and sculpt and exposes him to “radical” ideas about life and love which persuade him to reject going back to school. The result is a showdown between his teacher and his mother. Come check out the show to see what path Charlie picks.
