We try to offer up a variety of genres at the Lakeside Music Series, but rarely does one act embody such a variety as Justin Cash. A graduate of North Texas’ masters program, Cash can play rock, blues, and bluegrass and then shift seemlessly into Spanish, classical, and jazz, all expertly and with a passion. We know you’ll enjoy his Lakeside debut. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBTwNfRgj-E https://youtu.be/awIoLOVSBl8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Ux60yTKDo
On Friday, Sepeteber 8, the Lakeside Music Series will welcome back Crystal Yates, the act that started off the series in July (see a clip of her performance). Yates’ soulful brand of country music won the day at the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown (awarded at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium). She has toured Europe and the US. She and husband Will are also known to many locals for their frequent Sunday performances at the Cross Timbers Church in nearby Argyle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFAWI-LUFko…
Tom Faulkner returns to Lakeside Friday night, September 15, to bring his unique blend of Texas rock, blues, Cajun, and Tejano music. His albums include “Lost in the Land of Texico” and “Raise the Roof.” Both have been highly praised by fans and critics alike. A Highland Village resident, Faulkner promises to deliver a wonderful performance that will help everyone get “lost” while relaxing safely in the plaza at Lakeside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryRMXlDG0DE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKmgprHcyXo&t=77s

In addition to performing some of his original material, expect some savory covers, including “Purple Rain,” “All of Me,” and “Sara Smile.” For a taste of Chant’s chops, check this out:…
