Concerts Lakeside DFW: Bring blankets or portable chairs and enjoy live music at The Plaza (on Lakeside Parkway just west of FM 2499).
The live music of the Lakeside Music Series returns for its second season in the plaza at Lakeside DFW on Friday, April 7.
April 7: The season kicks off with the classic and contemporary rock ’n roll of Sebastian Valenzuela, who performed a record three times at Lakeside last year. He delighted audiences, enticing many to jump up and dance.
April 14: Chaz Marie, the “Hillbilly Aretha [Franklin],” will perform on April 14 along with husband Quienten Hope.
Twice last season, Marie entertained the Lakeside crowd with her powerful voice and non-formulaic blend of country, delta blues, R&B, and rock and roll.
The final two weeks of April will see two acts make their debut at the Lakeside Music Series.
April 21: Chant Duplantier brings a jazzy blues guitar sound to Lakeside on Friday, April 21. A seasoned musician who has toured for over 10 years with the band, Daddy’s Chair, he will dazzle you with his guitar as well as his voice. He’ll perform some original material as well as some savory covers, including “Purple Rain,” “All of Me,” and “Sara Smile.”
April 28: Matt Tedder will bring his bluesy slide guitar to Lakeside. Already a veteran of the Nashville music scene, the 20-year-old Fort Worth native will share some material from his upcoming debut album as well as covers from the likes of The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Reed, and Roy Orbison.
Jon Christopher Davis, originally scheduled to perform on May 5, has a schedule conflict. We are pleased to welcome Kylie Rae Harris, who is certain to win lots of fans at the Lakeside Music Series. In the back seat of an old Suburban traveling from their home Wylie, TX to East Texas, she and her brother and sisters would sing along with their step-dad to the likes of Radney Foster or Jerry Jeff Walker. She’s never strayed from those early…

Scarlett Deering and Joanna Barbera will give Lakeside listeners a taste of some fresh, new sounds brewing in Nashville. The 26-year-old Deering, a veteran of several bands including the Denton-based rock band, Seryn, plays a variety of string instruments. She’ll play songs from her debut album, There Is A Moon, in which she fuses her classical string training and love of punk and indie rock. Barbera’s wandering spirit shines through in her haunting folk tunes, influenced by all things ethereal…
Singer, songwriter, and indie-rock artist Taylor Phelan started his professional career as the founder and frontman for the Chicago-based alternative band, The Canes. In 2014, he competed (and became a fan favorite) on the seventh season of NBC’s hit reality series, The Voice. The experience revealed his talent as a solo artist. In 2015, shortly after signing with the indie label, Native Nine Records, Phelan gravitated back to his southern roots and teamed up with Nashville-based producer Joshua D. Niles to work on…
