The Iconic Salt Lick BBQ Coming to Grapevine
The City of Grapevine boasts a long tradition of providing diverse dining experiences for its citizens and visitors. The City has cleared the way for the award–winning Salt Lick BBQ to join the Grapevine, Texas family. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2017. Once completed in late 2018, the 10 acre property nestled in its wooded and relaxed location will offer 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining as well as a specialty wine and beer bar.
“We have searched the Metroplex the last 10 years for a site where the look and feel of the place would remind us of the hill country and allow us to recreate the backyard BBQ party we have in Driftwood. We have finally found a hill country home in Grapevine.” – Scott Roberts, Owner, Salt Lick BBQ.
Salt Lick will be located just east of Grapevine Mills Mall.
The original Salt Lick BBQ is located in Driftwood, Texas, about 30-45 minutes southwest of Austin, and has been serving up delicious barbecue for over 50 years!
About Salt Lick BBQ
Based on a tradition of family values, Salt Lick BBQ originated in 1967 and was named after the boulders native to the area called Salt Lick. Deer and other animals would congregate to consume the mineral content these rocks offer. The cobbler recipes that Salt Lick BBQ are known for are a combination of two recipes from two of the founders and our wine, The Salt Lick Cellars, is produced from our award-winning grapes. Hosting more than 700,000 annually in our original location, Salt Lick has been featured on the Food Network and internationally.
