$5 Admission EXTENDED Through February 28
To celebrate the first daffodils of the season and Groundhog Day, the Dallas Arboretum extends $5 general admission through February 28. The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is closed for preventative maintenance through February 28.
Another February event with $5 admission includes the second annual Groundhog Day on Sunday, February 2, 6:30 to 9:00 a.m., in A Tasteful Place. Those interested in joining the festivities and shadow-watching are welcome to attend the event for free with paid garden admission of $5. After the sun rises at approximately 7:22 a.m., Kalee Dionne, WFAA Channel 8 meteorologist and emcee, and Ken Barth, Dallas Arboretum Public Events Chair for the board, releases Arboretum Annie to see if she sees her shadow. After that, guests are welcome to take selfies with the famous groundhog, make groundhog crafts and watch the iconic Groundhog Day movie starring Bill Murray in Rosine Hall.
Parking prices remain unchanged, and you can purchase discounted parking online.
NOTE: Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is closed January 1-February 28 for annual winterization.
Guests are welcome to bring picnics.
