Escape: The Fundraiser
Nothing strikes a cold, sickening dread in the heart of a mother fresh off the invigorating high of having her beloved children back in school again than to hear them come through the door and announce, “You HAVE to do this, Mom. It’s a fundraiser!”
Flashbacks to a minivan full of frozen cookie dough, like you have room for that in your already overstuffed refrigerator freezer. Rolls of gift wrap. Or finding a giant box of melted chocolate bars that you were supposed to distribute to 45 separate houses that got forgotten in the floorboards in the Texas heat and now you get to buy all of that melted chocolaty goodness and a carpet cleaning as well. Good times? Been there – got the T-shirts – actually a whole drawer full of not my color/ size/ style T-shirts that you spent a ridiculous amount of hard earned money on and would not be caught dead in. But you can’t throw it out because you remember they cost you $20 bucks each. Yes, those T-shirts. Ahhhhhhh, memories!
WHO has got time for this? (insert primal screaming here) Time? That is what you get to spend hauling all of those coupon books to the office to pawn off on your friends who quietly hate you for bringing them but are obligated to buy them anyway. If it isn’t a box of Thin Mints don’t even think it. But I digress.
I’m a mom. Just freshly empty nested. (Thunderous applause and gasps of awe from the crowd.) I’ve lived to tell the tale and I’ve come back for you. You can do this. You can Escape: The Fundraiser!
I know the team, band, youth group, PTA, Booster Club and a myriad of good causes need to raise money. I’m all for it. I just want to give you a way to do it that:
- Does not require handling product
- Does not send your kids door-to-door
- Does not require your child (YOU) to collect money
- Does not stuff the mom van full of anything to be delivered
- Does not make you fat or give you pimples
- Does not make you clear your schedule on a precious weekend
- Does not require you to bake anything or sit under a tent for hours in the heat while wrangling other people’s children. That’s a part of your life you will never get back.
Instead, share your joy on social media and GO HAVE FUN doing something with people you actually like. Have a date night! (It’s for the children) Do a family activity that is a really cool and hip new thing because YOU really are that cool and hip. Be that mom. Go out with your friends and party like it’s nineteen ninety… er, well whatever year it was the last time you remember having a social life. Live a little. It’s for a good cause.
The mere thought feels like a refreshing ocean breeze, doesn’t it? Take a minute. “Ahhhhhhhhhh! I can actually have FUN again.”
You are now armed with precious information that can set you and the rest of your parent peers free while still supporting your cause. Here is how you do it.
Call or email EscapeRoomsHQ and ask for info on Escape: The Fundraiser. Tell us the “who, what, when, where and why” stuff. We will set you up with a special Promo Code for your fundraiser. We’ll help you share it on social media and even give you a template for fliers if you like those. Every ticket purchased at regular price with the Promo Code will get a portion of the cost sent to the fundraiser. At the end of the fundraising time period, we will cut your group a check. That’s all there is to it.
Go online and book your tickets, using the Promo Code, and schedule your adventure when it is convenient for YOU. Let’s say, the fundraiser runs for the month of September. You can book any adventure, any time during September and a portion of the ticket price will be credited to your fundraiser. All you have to do is go and have fun with your friends. It is that simple. EscapeRoomsHQ will provide posts to FB, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat that you and your kids can like and share with your friends and followers. Anyone who books with your promo code will be contributing to the fundraiser. And you didn’t even have to put on pants and leave the house! (Did I just over share?) If all of this is just too much to take in, well we have T-shirts if you really want one. They’re about $20 bucks, but you knew that didn’t you.
EASY. FLEXIBLE. FUN.
