Babysitter’s Training w/ Pediatric CPR/First Aid
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth, who want to babysit, the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. This course helps participants develop: basic child care, leadership skills, build a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, and guide children’s behavior, and pediatric CPR/First Aid. Students will learn the pediatric CPR and First Aid portion through blended learning. The online course combines award-winning, engaging and interactive online simulation learning plus an in-person classroom session to learn and practice critical lifesaving skills for certification.
Once the course is paid for through the Roanoke Recreation Center, you’ll be provided the American Red Cross link to complete the online portion. The student must complete the online portion prior to the in-person class.
