Celebrate the start of summer with a full day of family-friendly fun at Celebrate Highland Village 2025. The event begins with a fishing derby and a 5K run in the morning and concludes with an evening of live music, food vendors, kids’ activities, and a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Lewisville.
Morning Events at Doubletree Ranch Park
- Highland Village Lions Club Fishing Derby
- Celebrate Highland Village 5K and Fun Run
Evening Events at Copperas Branch Park
- 5:30 PM – Gates Open
- 6:30 PM – Live Concert by Escape – The Dallas Journey Tribute Band
- Fireworks at Dark
Additional activities include a Kid Zone, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the evening.
Parking and Shuttle Information
Parking Passes for Highland Village Residents
- Limited parking at Copperas Branch Park is available for Highland Village residents only and requires a parking pass.
- Passes will be available starting May 5, 2025, on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Proof of residency is required.
- Passes can be picked up at The Robert & Lee DuVall Center (948B Highland Village Road) Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.).
Remote Parking and Shuttle Service
Shuttle service will be available to and from Copperas Branch Park from the following locations:
- Highland Village Municipal Complex and Brazos Park parking lot
- The Village Church at 1700 Highland Village Road
- Highland Village Elementary at 301 Brazos Boulevard – Attendees parking here will walk to the Municipal Complex to take the shuttle
- DCTA A-Train Station at Garden Ridge – Attendees can walk the sidewalk/trail to Copperas Branch Park
Attendees are also encouraged to walk or ride their bikes to the event.

- Copperas Branch Park
- On a boat near Copperas Branch Park on Lake Lewisville
- Hickory Creek side of Lake Lewisville
- Pilot Knoll Park (no food or drink vendors available)

- Doubletree Ranch Park (no food or drink vendors available)
