Sep. 24 7 p.m.
Want to attract the smallest of our native owls to live in your neighborhood? Learn all about these tiny owls, how to build a screech owl box or where to purchase the proper box, and how to place it to encourage owls to call it home.
Oct. 22 7 p.m.
Brandi and Mario Nickerson from Nature’s Edge Wildlife and Reptile Rescue will talk about one of the most misunderstood creatures living in our neighborhood: snakes. Whether you’re afraid of snakes or fascinated by them, Brandi and Mario will help you understand how to live with them in the world we share. The talk will focus on conservation, life history, habitat, adaptations, and identification of the snakes in our area. It will also provide information on minimizing conflicts between humans and snakes.
