The Holi Festival of Color will return in 2025 on Saturday, March 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Generations Park at Boys Ranch, 2801 Forest Ridge Dr.
The event will include TWO color throw opportunities, one at 12:30 p.m. and another at 1:30 p.m.
Holi is an ancient Indian celebration that marks the beginning of spring after a long winter and is symbolic of the triumph of good over evil. The festival will include live performances by a local Indian dance group, a DJ, food trucks, chalk art, henna tattoos, community mandala chalk installation, craft vendors, face painters, arts and crafts, and more!
The highlight of the event features throwing colored powder (the powder is safe and non-toxic) into the air and on one another, creating a bright sea of colors.
This event is free to attend. However, please note this is not a pet friendly event.
Parking will be on-site at Generations Park at Boys Ranch.
Food Trucks in Attendance
- Flat Top Biscuits – Comfort food including biscuits/gravy, protein bowls, hot dogs, pretzels, soft drinks, and water
- Tacos La Pasasita – Nachos, corn in a cup, burritos, and tacos
- Pokey O’s Cookies and Ice Cream – Ice cream, cookies, and shaved ice
Color Throw Tips
Below are some additional color throw tips and tricks for the festival:
- Be prepared to get colorful! The color powder is safe and non-toxic.
- The color powder may stain clothing, so wear old clothes and shoes.
- It is recommended to wear white clothing so the color powder shows. (This will make for some amazing photos!)
- Apply generous amounts of moisturizer to your skin prior to the event. This may help the color not stick to your skin.
- Cover your car seats with old towels, blankets, or plastic for the ride home.
