Wild Times with Dallas Zoo

Bharatanatyam Indian Classical Dance
Saturday, June 8 at 11 a.m.
Embark on a captivating journey into the world of Bharatanatyam, India’s oldest classical dance form. This one-hour program offers a vibrant blend of performance, education, and audience participation, perfect for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Indian culture. Presented by Tejas Dance DFW. CoServ POWERTown
Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m.
How does a light turn on in your house? Learn about electricity and circuits with a giant board game! Family Program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event. Presented by CoServ

Raptors of North Texas
Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m.
Day and night the raptors are on patrol. Their mission: in search of a meal. How do they do it? Discover their unique adaptations to hunt in woodland, wetlands and prairies. Raptors of different species and sizes will be used to demonstrate their capabilities. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

African American Heritage: The Quakertown Story
Tuesday, June 18 at 5 p.m.
This Traveling Museum program surveys the history and development of Denton’s African-American community known as Quakertown. Quakertown’s story is one of hardships, heroism, and perseverance amidst continuing racial inequality. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

Perot Tech Truck
Saturday, June 22, 12 – 2 p.m.
Saturday, July 20, 12 – 2 p.m.
Experience hands-on science with the Perot Museum of Nature and Science’s mobile discovery lab. The TECH (tinker, engineer, create, hack) Truck brings maker-based science, technology, art and math. Come and go

YMCA Gaming Truck
Saturday, June 29, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.
Interactive STEM and gaming lab on wheels, aiming to provide more access to education and play for all ages. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

Pops with Cops
Friday, June 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 25 at 1:30 p.m.
This fun and interactive program brings together local police officers and children of all ages. During the program, kids will have the opportunity to ask officers questions, learn about their role in the community, and of course, have popsicles! Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

Origami Bookmarks with CITA
Friday, June 21 at 2 p.m.
Join us as Community Impact Through Art (CITA) teaches you how to craft your very own origami bookmark! Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

CoServ Circuit Building
Wednesday, July 10 at 1 p.m.
Participate in a hands-on learning experience building simple, series and parallel circuitse! Presented by CoServ. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

Skin and Skulls
Thursday July 11, 11 a.m.
Join a Park Ranger to learn how every skull tells a story and reveals their amazing adaptations! Then how the opportunity to get hands on with these biofacts and learn what your local Texas native wildlife feel like. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

Heard Museum
Saturday, July 27, Noon
Most of the changes to our Earth’s surface happen gradually through weathering and erosion or tectonic plate movement. But some changes are instantaneous! This presentation will use the Heard’s digital globe to take a look at plate boundaries & movements and the geological processes that create volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.

End of the Summer Party
Wednesday, July 31 from 2 – 4 p.m.
Stop by the library, drop off your reading log, grab some Dippin’ Dots, and submit your tickets to the grand prize drawing. Winners will be drawn on August 5 and notified by phone and email. Come and go event. Family program. Tickets available 30 minutes before event.
