Help keep even more pumpkins out of the landfills this year!
For five years Permaculture Pastures has collected pumpkins that are typically thrown out after people are done using them for decoration after Thanksgiving.
In 2021, they collected over 10,000lbs of pumpkins and were able to feed their pigs for two months! This year, they’re are partnering with the restaurants of the Flower Mound Riverwalk to make donating your pumpkins a no-brainer! These restaurants will act as collection locations and to thank you for participating would like to gift you a free appetizer!
Post a selfie of yourself with your pumpkin donation in front of a particular restaurant. Be sure to tag that restaurant and Permaculture Pastures farm. Then show the post to your waiter inside and enjoy a free appetizer!

No painted, rotted, or bleached pumpkins.
All sizes and varieties are accepted including squash.
Also accepting hay and straw bale donations.
Their goal this year is 40,000lbs to feed our pigs and the pigs on a neighboring farm for 3 months. Can you help?
