Teen Button-palooza!

Back by popular demand! Make buttons and other items using the Library’s button makers. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring small, printed images to possibly make into buttons. No registration needed.

Glow Paint-Along Party!
Friday, June 7 | 6:30-9 p.m. (after-hours)

Registration opens on May 24 at 9 a.m.
Follow the leader to paint a blacklight-friendly painting, plus other glow-in-the- ark/blacklight activities. White or brightly-colored clothing looks great in the blacklight, but be sure to dress for possible mess. Permission slips can be printed here or are available at the Youth Services Desk. DIY Clay Bowls with Savvie Studio

Teen Day at The Hive: Sublimation
Friday, June 14 | 2-4 p.m.
The Hive Makerspace, 1st floor
Registration required, opens May 31 at 9 a.m.
Our mugs, plus your design, plus sublimation, equals your own personalized mug! Bring your own image(s) on a USB drive or create from scratch during the class. Use our sublimation printer and heat press to transfer the design onto a white mug for you to keep and enjoy!

Mending Madness: Learn to Mend! with Just Lillia

Learn how to mend your clothes in this hands-on sewing class presented by Just Lillia, including adding patches to clothes, using embroidery floss and fabric to patch a hole, and adding topical details to your clothes. Space is limited.

Puzzle Swap: Saturday, June 22 | 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Clear out your old puzzles and pick up some new ones! Drop off up to 10 gently used puzzles at the second floor adult services desk anytime while the Library is open from Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 21. Then drop by on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to pick up a new-to-you puzzle! Donated puzzles should be in good condition with all pieces present. Puzzles for all ages accepted.

Pickleball Basics

Have you heard about the growing interest in pickleball and thought about trying out this popular sport? This one hour presentation by a USA Pickleball Ambassador will cover an introduction to the game such as equipment, rules, and safety measures so you can learn the basics before you step out on the court!

Ready, Set, Game!
Saturday, June 15 | Drop in anytime from 12-4 p.m.

Open to teens, adults, and families with kids ages 6 and up
No registration necessary
Get in the game with an afternoon of tabletop (board, card, and dexterity) games! Bring friends and family or come and meet other gamers to play classic and modern games. We have games for all ages and skill levels, and staff to help you learn how to play–or bring your favorite game and teach others how to play! Children ages 6 and up are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Speed Paint your Miniature Figures
For teens ages 13-18 
Saturday, June 22 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Do you want to learn miniature painting but also want to spend more time gaming? Our presenter will show you the way to paint high quality mini figures in less time. All supplies are provided. Registration required. Registration opens June 8 at 11 a.m.  Open to adults and teens ages 13 and up.

Escape the Library!
Open to ages 13 and up
Multiple sessions each day:

Registration required. Registration for all sessions opens June 21 at 10:30 a.m.
An original, objective-based, low-tech puzzle game. Participants must arrive EARLY for their time slot or they won’t be able to participate. The room is designed for 2-4 participants in each session. Sessions are not private unless your group books all four spots in a session. If fewer than two people sign up for, or show up to a session, it may be subject to cancellation. This game is open to adults and teens ages 13 and up.
