Texas Flood Concert Lewisville
Cancelled due to severe weather forecast.
“One Night in Texas” event planned for April 21 in Wayne Ferguson Plaza
On April 21, 1836, General Sam Houston won the Battle of San Jacinto, which proved to be the pivotal victory in Texas’ quest for Independence. Lewisville will commemorate the occasion with a special “One Night in Texas” concert event on Friday, April 21, 6:30-9 p.m., in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, 150 W. Church Street.
Texas Flood, the Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band that rocked KTA and Sounds of Lewisville last year, will be the headliner for this event. Additional music acts will be added to the bill soon. Food trucks will be on-site for concertgoers, and Texas craft beers also will be available for purchase.
Attendees should note that glass bottles are strongly discouraged in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, and smoking/vaping is prohibited. Attendees also are reminded there is no swimming or playing in the flowing water feature that runs along the north side of the Plaza. Well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome; owners are expected to clean up after their animals, and plastic bag dispensers are available on site. Wayne Ferguson Plaza features native landscaping, an open lawn, a boardwalk alongside a flowing water feature, a splash pad, and a permanent stage.
“One Night in Texas” is a new event intended to continue development of Old Town Lewisville as a visitor destination, and is an initiative of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan.
