Keeping Tradition Alive: Firefighter Pipes, Drums Honor Guard Jam Session
Keeping Tradition Alive is held in conjunction with a multi-national firefighter symposium. Firefighters from across the world come to Lewisville and receive instruction on honor corps activities and then perform evening concerts.

Inclement weather leads to changes for tonight’s Keeping Tradition Alive Jam Session
The Lewisville Fire Department is scaling back some of the events for tonight’s Keeping Tradition Alive Jam Session at Wayne Ferguson Plaza due to inclement weather.
The event will still feature performances by hundreds of firefighter bagpipers, drummers, and honor guard members from across the country, but they will be the only musical acts. Maylee Thomas Band was scheduled to perform, but those plans changed due to the inclement weather.
Wayne Ferguson Plaza opens at 6 p.m. for this free event with performances starting at 7 p.m.

Food, beverages, kids’ activities and a performance by Texas Flood, the band complete the event.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Admission is free and food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event. No outside food or beverages will be allowed inside the event area.
