First Steps Preschool at First Baptist Church Lewisville
Every parent wants the very best for their child. At FBC’s First Steps Preschool (FSP), we offer families “the next best thing to home.”
Our staff of dedicated and loving teachers is ready to welcome your child each day with unique and age-appropriate activities. Your child will be having so much fun they won’t even realize how much they are learning. Before they know it, they will be kindergarten ready!
Children enjoy making choices from a variety of learning centers each day. These include dramatic play, cooking, art, math and reading readiness, science and nature, music and listening, books, blocks, puzzles, and more.
In addition to age-appropriate academics, FSP features Bible Time with songs, activities, and a different Bible story every day. Classroom learning is reinforced each day in our music and movement classes. Music includes instruments and rhythm activities. In movement, specific motor skills are targeted for each age group. Our Pre-K students also enjoy a fun introduction to the Spanish language.
Special school-wide events each year include a Pumpkin Patch, Turkey Trott, Teddy Bear Picnic Day, Thanksgiving Feast, and PJs Day, Rodeo Day, Splash Day, Community Helpers visits and our student Art Show.
FSP meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 2:30pm, September through May. Classes are offered for children 10 months through Pre-K. Please see our website for more information, firststeps.fbclewisville.org.
