Bass Pro Shops | Grapevine
Location: 2501 Bass Pro Drive, Grapevine
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
With more than 200,000 square feet, there’s always something new to discover. Bass Pro has a number of museum quality stuffed animal displays (longhorn, bear, moose, etc.), along with a large aquarium tank with a small waterfall. Free. Plus they offer weekly activities such as live fish feedings and Kid Fish Saturdays.
Bubbleland | Southlake
Location: Gateway Southlake | 700 Blessed Way, Southlake
Cost: Free
Hours: Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This fully enclosed space is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2-5), with plenty of room to climb, slide, and explore! 6 to 7 year olds may still enjoy it for a quick play break. This indoor playspace has a coffee shop in the same building.
Cross Timbers Church Indoor Play | Argyle
Location: Cross Timbers Church | 1119 South US Hwy 377, Argyle
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Bring your kids for the opportunity to play with others in this weekly indoor play. Great for children ages 2 through 5. Located inside the Kids Lobby. Bonus: Check out The Parks at Cross Timbers Church for a creative playground and outside fun!
House of Shine | Grapevine
Location: 334 S. Barton Street, Grapevine
Cost: Free
Hours: Tuesday through Thursday 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A museum of self-discovery. When you visit House of Shine, you’ll become a Shineologist, studying the most interesting subject of all: yourself.
Kidscape | Euless
Location: Cross City Church Euless | 1000 Airport Frwy, Euless
Cost: Free
Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
This indoor playspace has a large playscape and game room for older kids and a separate space for babies and toddlers. There is also a library and coffee shop within the same building making this space a great playdate meetup location.
Music City Mall | Lewisville
Location: Music City Mall, 2401 S. Stemmons Freeway Lewisville, TX 75067
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Closes daily at 3:00 p.m. for a light mid-day cleaning for approximately 30 minutes.)
Take a break and relax while the kids burn off some energy at one of Music City Mall Lewisville’s indoor play areas:
- Little Tikes Soft Play Area will entertain young children with its soft sculptured foam fire engine slide, feed mill with floor sensors that play animal sounds, a stethoscope balance beam, and much more. Located on the lower level between Dillard’s and JCPenney.
- A larger playground is available for the more adventurous and mature kids who want to climb, twist, and slide all the way to the top of the 3 story Climb and Slide playground. Located on the lower level in front of Zion Market.
Playscape | North Richland Hills
Location: The Hills Church NRH | 6300 NE Loop 820, North Richland Hills
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Thursday 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The Playscape is a fun, safe place where kids 5th grade and under can spend a little energy. The indoor, multi-level playground offers two areas of play for pre-school and elementary aged children.
Prestonwood Kidz | Plano
Location: Prestonwood | 6801 W. Park Blvd., Plano
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This playground is a huge hit for kids ages 3-6, but even the tiniest tots will find plenty to explore! Older kids (up to age 10) can still join in on the fun, making it a great spot for siblings.
With slides, climbing areas, and a rubber-bottomed hill just waiting for little feet to run up and roll down, it’s the perfect place to burn off some energy!
Scheels | The Colony
Location: The Colony Scheels | 4450 Destination Drive, The Colony
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
SCHEELS in The Colony isn’t just a sporting goods store—it’s a fun, FREE indoor adventure for families! Kids will love exploring the 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, watching scuba divers feed the fish, and spotting colorful marine life. The 22-foot wildlife mountain is another must-see, featuring over 200 taxidermy animals that make for a great educational moment. Whether you’re admiring the sights, riding the indoor Ferris wheel (for a small fee), or playing interactive games, SCHEELS offers a perfect indoor escape for families looking for fun without spending a dime!
Talking Animals Books | Grapevine
Location: Talking Animals Books | 103 W Worth St, Grapevine
There is a bookstore called Talking Animals in Grapevine. It’s right off Main Street. The whole upstairs of the bookstore is a play room for kids with dollhouse, toys, a railroad set, and lots of books. Kids can play while parents shop. They also offer events such as storytime and game nights.
The Ark at GracePoint | Coppell
Location: GracePoint Church, 590 S Denton Tap, Coppell
Cost: Free
Free Play Hours: Mondays from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
The Ark is a great indoor play area for kids of all ages.
Besides the play structures, there are lots of board games. There are also plenty of tables available to stop & have lunch or a snack. There is a restroom right outside The Ark, and there is also a small outdoor playground that is available to play on. You can also host a birthday party at The Ark, for a small fee.
The REC of Grapevine
Location: The REC of Grapevine, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Thursday 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The REC has an amazing indoor child-themed playground for kids ages 9 and under. This indoor play area is open to everybody and is free. It can be confusing because it is technically inside The REC of Grapevine but it is at the very front of the building and people can come and go. Socks or shoes are required, as well as adult supervision!
The Tubes at Irving Bible Church | Irving
Location: Irving Bible Church | 2435 Kinwest Parkway, Irving
Cost: Free
Hours: Sunday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Open to the public and IBCers alike, The Tubes are available for children 52 inches or smaller, seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Bugs, next to the Tubes, is available for children 36” and shorter. Birthday parties are also available. This indoor playspace has a coffee shop in the same building.
The Woods at Highland Park | Dallas
Location: Highland Park Presbyterian Church | 3821 University Blvd, Dallas
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Kids gravitate toward the fun features The Woods offers: slides, hiding places, and climbing structures.
Wesley’s Playground at White’s Chapel | Southlake
Location: White’s Chapel | 185 S. White Chapel Blvd., Southlake
Cost: Free
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This is a free indoor playground. Wesley Café is right beside and serves coffee, tea, and some food, so families can eat lunch there before or after playing.
