With over 200,000 sf, there’s always something new to discover.  Bass Pro has a number of museum quality stuffed animal displays (longhorn, bear, moose, etc.), along with a large aquarium tank with a small waterfall.  Free. GRAPEVINE: Playground at The REC

The REC has an amazing indoor child-themed playground for kids ages 9 and under. This indoor play area is open to everybody and is free.  It can be confusing because it is technically inside The REC of Grapevine but it is at the very front of the building and people can come and go. Socks or shoes are required, as well as adult supervision!

There is a bookstore called Talking Animals in Grapevine. It’s right off Main Street. The whole upstairs of the bookstore is a play room for kids with dollhouse, toys, a railroad set, and lots of books. Kids can play while parents shop. They also offer events such as storytime and game nights.

IRVING: The Tubes at Irving Bible Church

LEWISVILLE: Music City Mall Play Area

SOUTHLAKE: White’s Chapel Playground

This is a free indoor playground. Wesley Café is right beside and serves coffee, tea, and some food, so families can eat lunch there before or after playing.

A few quick rules to maximize the fun:
1. Playground is designed for children 11 years of age and under.
2. Remove shoes before entering.
3. All participants to be supervised by an adult.
4. Slides are down only, no climbing up.
5. Slide down one at a time.
6. Guests assume all risks from use of the equipment.
7. Absolutely NO food or drinks are allowed in the playground area.

THE COLONY: Scheels in The Colony
