Klyde Warren Park is a hidden gem, nestled in the heart of Dallas, Texas. Surrounded by high-rises, the well-kept park offers a wide variety of free activities.
There’s a great expanse of soft green grass (similar to a putting green), where you can spread out a blanket and enjoy a picnic, feed the pigeons, or play a game.
Didn’t bring a game? No worries! You’ll find a game cart (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily), where you can borrow chess, checkers, and more. There’s even a ping pong table and foosball!!
There’s also a playground for the little ones (and the not-so-little ones, as you can tell by my teens).
Don’t forget to bring a towel and some dry clothes for your little ones – They’ll definitely want to splash around in the fountains and enjoy the misting area!
If you visit their website, you’ll also find a schedule of activities for the week. There are so many FREE activities, such as yoga, pilates, Zumba, boot camp, live music, and more!
You’ll also find food trucks lined up along the street most afternoons, and some evenings!
Don’t forget your camera! You’ll find lots of great photo opps throughout the park!
And there’s even a small dog park, if you’d like to bring your “best friend” along for the outing!
