Liberty by the Lake: Due to flooding at Lewisville Lake, the Liberty By The Lake festival on Saturday, July 2nd has been moved to The Colony Five Star Complex, 4100 Blair Oaks. The Liberty 5K, 10K & 1 Mile Fun Run will still be held at Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Road.

5K – 10K – 1Mile

The 31st Annual Liberty 5K, 10K & 1 Mile Fun Run is a family event, for participants of all ages! Bring the whole family and start your holiday off on the right foot. Runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to participate!

The 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 7:45am, and the 5K and 10K races begin at 8:05am on Saturday, July 2nd, 2016 at Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Rd., in The Colony, Texas. Please arrive early to ensure that you are ready for the start of the race!

Parade – 10am

This year’s theme is celebrating America’s Idols! Parade lineup will be held at Peter’s Colony Elementary School on John Yates beginning at 9:15am. All entries should check in with the parade coordinator at this time. The parade will begin promptly at 10:00am and the route will proceed west on Nash to Blair Oaks, then south on Blair Oaks to The Colony High School teachers lot.

Fun Zone 4-9pm

Lots of games and activities for all ages on Independence Day. The Family Fun Zone includes a zip line, bounce houses, obstacle courses, toddler area, train ride, face painters and much more! Don’t miss the fun!

  • Individual Ride/Activity Tickets
    • $1 per ticket
    • Range: 3-5 tickets per ride/activity
  • All Access Wristband
    • $15 – 4 and younger
    • $20 – 5 and older
    • Unlimited use of rides/activities

Live Music – 4:30 – 9:30pm

Spend your Independence Day weekend relaxing at The Colony Five Star Complex and listen to great live music from The Gibbonses and The Decades Band on the Main Stage. Then join us as we commemorate the holiday with an amazing fireworks display!
