Parent Child Play Day
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Announces “National Parent Child Play Day,” September 16
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Dallas-Fort Worth has declared a “National Parent and Child Play Day” celebrating the benefits of families spending quality time together and engaging in creative play.
To coincide with “National Working Parents Day” on Friday, September 16, the attraction is showing their appreciation for hardworking parents by distributing a letter to local businesses encouraging them to allow their employees time off with their families. To sweeten the deal, they’ve included a special “Adults Go Free” offer valid through September 16.
This initiative follows Project: Time Off’s recent report “The Work Martyr’s Children,” which revealed Americans are taking less vacation time than at any point in the last forty years and showcases the impressive benefits of time spent between parents and their children:
- 84% of children reported feeling closer to their parents as result of them taking time off for family time
- 60% of children experienced dramatically improved moods when their parents took time off to spend with them
- 50% of children stated that time off also greatly enhanced their parents’ mood as well
- 77% of children noted that when parents spent time off with them it alleviated stress kids experience in their daily lives
The “Adults Go Free” offer is valid now through September 16 with purchase of a full price one-day child ticket. Adults must be accompanied by children to enter. Use Promo Code: PLAYDAY when purchasing online or mention at the door.

Offer cannot be applied to pre-purchased discounted tickets or combined with any other discounts or offers. Restrictions may apply.
