Pokemon Go Lewisville
Update Friday, Sept. 9 @ 1:30 p.m. – This event has been cancelled due to weather. A reschedule date has not been determined at this time.
The City of Lewisville is once again partnering with Freaks and Geeks of Denton to host this second free Pokémon GO rally. Attendees will be able to chase, capture and potentially train Pokémon. Freaks and Geeks will be pitching lures around the plaza. There are nine Pokéstops and two gyms within one block of the plaza.
Sat, Sept 10, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Wayne Ferguson Plaza
150 W Church St, Lewisville, TX 75057
This is a free, family event. Attendees can bring their own food and drinks, and the City will arrange to have a food truck on-site.
Glass bottles are strongly discouraged in Wayne Ferguson Plaza. Smoking/vaping is prohibited on the grass lawn and in the splash pad.
Attendees also are reminded there is no swimming or playing in the flowing water feature that runs along the north side of the Plaza. Well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome; owners are expected to clean up after their animals, and plastic bag dispensers are available on site.
Wayne Ferguson Plaza is a 1.5-acre urban park that takes on a contemporary sweeping gesture using water to link east to west and unite Lewisville City Hall and MCL Grand. It features an elevated stage, a multi-level seating area, an interactive splash pad and a garden filled with swathes of native grasses and wildflowers. The plaza has received two national awards for urban design.
