Hilton Anatole Dallas
This post was written in 2015. Please click the link above for our newest post, which includes information about Hilton Anatole’s NEW resort-style pool, Jade Waters.
Last weekend, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Although it’s only 30 minutes from our Flower Mound home, just getting away from the day-to-day demands of our regular routine made the whole experience feel like a real vacation!!
Overlooking downtown Dallas, the Hilton Anatole is just minutes from many local attractions, including Medieval Times, American Airlines Center, Dallas Zoo, Dallas World Aquarium, and West End Marketplace, as well as many museums and restaurants! This makes it the perfect “staycation” spot!!
We started our visit with a swim and dinner at the pool. During the summer, Hilton Anatole offers outdoor grilling! Grilled burgers, hotdogs, chicken and more. One of our favorites: Funnel Fries!! Similar to funnel cakes, this sweet treat was perfect to share. PLUS Kids 4 & Under eat free all summer long!
They offer alcoholic beverages for mom and dad at the swim-up bar, plus non-alcoholic versions for the kids. My teens loved the Piña Coladas and Strawberry Margaritas!
During the summer, they also offer Dive in Movies every Friday. Stay cool and catch a family-friendly movie at the pool!!
After a good night’s sleep, we hit the ground running!
There are 5 separate restaurants at Hilton Anatole, and this breakfast-on-the-go from Counter Offer was perfect for us, as we headed out to do some sight-seeing!
We visited the Perot Museum, as well as Klyde Warren Park – I’d highly recommend both of these for families with kids!

After checking out these Dallas hot-spots, it was time to head back to the hotel for a little pampering. The V-Spa offers a variety of services. The girls and I each enjoyed manis and pedis. Services start at just $25, and it’s the perfect way to relax and recharge.
After we were done, we decided it was time to do a little exploring.
If you’ll recall, we visited Hilton Anatole last December and enjoyed Sparkle Christmas. There were so many fun activities indoors (ice skating, velcro wall, Geppetto’s Theatre, ping pong, inflatable slide, etc.), we barely made it outside (other than to enjoy the outdoor fire pit).
This time, we spent most of our time outdoors. It’s amazing how MUCH there is to do and see, right there at the Anatole: Lots of outdoor sculptures, lawn games, a pond with fountains, koi fish, a bridge, picnic tables, a fitness path, and of course the pool.
My girls LOVED the koi pond, and spent much of their time watching and feeding the fish. Be sure to bring some quarters – there’s a gumball machine where you can purchase koi food!
After another swim in the pool, the girls opted for sushi for dinner. It’s made fresh and available at Counter Offer each evening. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! Partner that with an in-room movie (The Longest Ride) in the robes that the hotel provides for guests during your stay, and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day!
The following morning, the we enjoyed room-service for breakfast before checking out. Both of my girls RAVED about the Nutella-stuffed french toast! And I have to say, pictures may not do it justice, but the fruit plate was HUGE!
After breakfast, we did a little more exploring. There really is so much to do and see! And there are beautiful pieces of art everywhere you turn!!
In fact, Hilton Anatole offers several options for learning more about the art throughout the property, such as a 1-mile art tour, and art scavenger hunts! Simply visit http://www.anatoleart.com for details.
When packing for the weekend, we brought some board games to keep us busy. Needless to say, with all of the fun activities available, we never touched our games!!
I encourage you to take a break from your every-day routine and visit the Hilton Anatole. It’s a great place to unwind and connect with your family!
More FUN in DFW!
DFW has SO many wonderful things to do and see! Why not spend the night (or the weekend) and make some memories with your family?!?
