~ IMPORTANT ~
We work very hard to confirm all of the information in our Summer Camp Guide each year, checking and double checking dates, locations, links, and more. However, due to the sheer number of schools, businesses, and community organizations we work with, there are bound to be changes and errors. PLEASE, double check information when you sign up for the camps you’re children are interested in.
Additionally, we always encourage readers to register in advance. Although some businesses, organizations, and churches can accommodate last-minute additions to their camps, many plan well in advance for staffing and supply needs. NOT ALL CAMPS ALLOW WALK-INS! PLEASE contact the camp provider as early as possible to ask them their registration guidelines.
Thank you ~ Family eGuide

Hello! At Footlights, we welcome kiddos with any learning patterns. As the director, I have personal experience with autism spectrum disorders as I have a child on the spectrum. Typically, we will have the children join us in our listed dance camps and incorporate a student teacher to assist with specific needs. We certainly would be open to offering a camp or class specifically for kids with similar learning challenges if we had enough students interested to offer a separate class! 🙂 Happy Dancing! – Ms Amy

Another camp has come to our attention for 2017: Aldersgate UMC VBS in Carrollton http://www.aumchurch.org/page/180011478/180097680/VBS-2017. It is going to be a fun science theme this year.

Our program for gifted, creative, and academically talented children ages 5-10 is appropriate for high functioning autistic students due to the small groups and individual attention. Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) has been providing summer programs since 1984. 2019 is our first time in Flower Mound at the Explorations Preparatory School. Details at giftedstudy.org.
