A match meeting is a virtual or an in-person meeting with the potential gestational surrogate, her spouse, if in a relationship, and the intended parents.
Prior to the match meeting, Universal Surrogacy Services collects data from the parties which helps assure a solid match. Some of the data that may be important to everyone would include, marital status, religious background, political views, thoughts regarding termination of pregnancy, financial expectations, ideal level of contact before, during and after pregnancy, amongst many other things.
Once the case manager from Universal Surrogacy Services matches the parties on paper, we schedule the virtual or in-person meeting. Since we have already worked thru some of the hard-hit items, this meeting is really a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and find out if they feel a connection.
The meeting is led by a Universal Surrogacy Services representative and is open for all to discuss what is important to them during their surrogacy experience. These meetings tend to last anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours.
After the match meeting is completed, each party will reach out to their Universal Surrogacy Services representative to express their desire to work together or not.
