Topgolf in The Colony

My father was REALLY into golf.  After her retired, he’d spend hours on the golf course every week, often encouraging me to come with him.  And although I loved spending time with my dad (and miss him now that he’s passed), I never really enjoyed golf.

But let me tell you… Topgolf isn’t your father’s driving range!

If you’ve never been, I would describe it as a driving range, combined with bowling and darts.

When you check in, your group will be assigned a “bay.”  The bays are comfortable areas for your group (up to 6 people per bay) to eat, play, and hang out with friends.  You’ll have a choice of a sectional couch or a pub-height table and stools.

The location in The Colony has 3 levels, with a total of 102 bays!

Once you arrive at your bay, each person (or team) will swipe a membership card (only $5 for a lifetime membership; includes free club rental during your visit).  You’ll need to pre-load at least one of the cards with funds to pay for your visit (see rates below).  We chose to play as individuals.

NOTE:  Groups younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

There are a variety of games offered at TopGolf, such as TopScramble, TopChip, TopDrive and more.  Download the Game Guide with rules for each game.

We played the signature game, TopGolf.  It’s great for those of us who want to have fun, but don’t have the skills to put a ball in a very specific location:)  Basically, if you hit ANY of the targets, you’ll score points!

When you step up to the tee, you’ll swipe your club and a micro-chipped ball will come out.  The microchip allows the “readers” located in each section of every target to keep your score!  Hit the ball and have fun!!

Be sure to come hungry!  Topgolf has an amazing menu of chef-created items, such as the brisket nachos and flavor-infused doughnut holes (yes, those syringes contain chocolate and raspberry filling that you inject into the doughnut holes)!

TopGolf Food

In addition to the great golf games and fantastic food, you’ll find fun throughout!  On the main level (2nd floor of the driving range), you’ll find a full-service bar, and lots of screens to keep track of your favorite games!  Go down one level for a game of pool, or visit with friends in the lounge area.  On on the third level, you’ll find Foosball, free of charge!!

  • Mon-Fri, 6pm-Close  $40/Hour

  • Sat & Sun, Open-Noon  $20/Hour

  • Sat & Sun, Noon-Close  $40/Hour

 

Be sure to ask about monthly memberships, private instruction, youth leagues, and tournaments!
