Trietsch Enrichment Center: Transitional Kindergarten Class
Does your 5 year old need extra time before entering Kindergarten?
Trietsch Enrichment Center offers a transitional Pre-K5 program specifically designed for children who turn 5 by September 1st. This class provides an extra year of pre-academic and maturational growth before the child is enrolled in a Kindergarten classroom. A child might also benefit from this program if they have just turned 5 years old in the summer before school starts.
The TEC Pre-K5 curriculum stresses readiness skill development to include emerging reading, oral language, social skills, listening and observation skills, and fine/gross motor skills. The program also includes the following enrichment activities: weekly music, gross motor classes, Spanish class, monthly hands-on science lesson/lab, lending library, and 2 additional off site field trips yearly.
Christian teachings and character development are emphasized throughout all monthly units. Daily Bible stories, songs, verses, activities, and prayer are included. All classes at TEC gather for a monthly “Bible Celebration” time in the Sanctuary.
At TEC, children thrive in a classroom with an 8 to 1 student-teacher ratio (16 children max in each classroom). This allows each child to develop the confidence and self-esteem needed to encounter real life situations. The staff is made of highly educated, experienced, and dedicated professionals who are passionate about the education of young children. All lead teachers hold a degree in the education field.
The Pre-K5 program meets five days a week from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.
Tours of the program are available Monday through Friday from 9:15-12:15. It is best to schedule your tour so our guests can have undivided time while learning about the program.
