Turkey (or Chicken) and Stuffing Caserole
We often substitute left-over rotisserie chicken for this yummy Turkey and Stuffing Casserole that my kids LOVE!!
1 box seasoned stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
½ cup chicken broth
¼ cup margarine or butter, melted
2 cups cubed, cooked chicken or turkey (leftovers work great)
¼ cup finely chopped onion
¼ cup chopped celery
¼ cup mayonnaise
egg, slightly beaten
¾ cup milk
½ can cream of mushroom soup
- In medium bowl, combine first 3 ingredients. Place ½ in ungreased 8” baking dish.
- In small bowl, combine next 4 ingredients. Spoon over stuffing layer.
- Top with remaining stuffing.
- Combine egg and milk. Pour over stuffing.
- Cover; Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or up to 12 hours.
Let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before baking.
Heat oven to 325.
Spread casserole with half can mushroom soup.
Bake for 40 minutes. Cool slightly before serving.
¼ cup sour cream
1 Tablespoon milk
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
In small saucepan, combine sauce ingredients.
Heat, stirring constantly, until heated.
