We’re firing up our furnace for the Fall Season! Join Vetro in celebrating this Fall Season with Fire, Flames, and Pumpkins! Bring the whole family to our Help Create Pumpkin Event; an interactive experience fun for kids (Age 12+) and adults!
Come one, come all, and experience how to create a pumpkin from hot molten glass! You may sign up for your choice of 1 to 9 participants for the “Pumpkin Create” for the desired time you would like to come. Two participants at a time will be partnered with two of the talented Vetro Glassblowers to help create your very own Pumpkin.
Please have everyone in your group arrive 15 minutes prior to the “Pumpkin Create” you registered for. If you need to register more than 9 people, simply choose the next hour and the number of slots you need for everyone in your group. Feel free to stay and watch the other Help Create Artists in the hot shop, or view the art glass creations that your Vetro Glassblowing Instructor has created.

The Process:
- Register online, pre-pay for your time slot.
- We want you and your loved ones to stay safe, so follow “Safe Social Distancing Practices” when in the Studio & Gallery, and please wear a mask. Vetro will follow all CDC & Tarrant County Guidelines to keep our glass loving patrons and staff safe!
- Choose from a selection of 5 color mixes
- Apply your own color to the hot molten glass
- Twist your color to create your own personalized design (14+yrs)
- You heat the color in the 2,000-degree furnace (14+yrs)
- The Process (continued):
- Newspaper to cool and shape the starter bubble (14+yrs)
- You stay by the artist while he/she teaches you about the iron mold used to make the optic shapes in your Glass Pumpkin
- You stay by the artist while he/she blows and shapes your Glass Pumpkin while you assist with the paddle to flatten the bottom (14+yrs)
- You stay by the artist while he/she gathers and applies the stem
- You FireTorch the stem (14+yrs)
- Photo Op with your one-of-a-kind Pumpkin!
- Pick up your glass artwork the following business day after 3:00 p.m. The gallery is open Tuesdays – Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and closed Sundays and Mondays or you may have it shipped for an additional fee.
